My Bio
My name is Emily, and I am a life-long cat lover. I had cats since I was old enough to remember and have always been smitten by their playful and curious nature, stunning looks, and most of all: their “cat-itude”.
I started cat sitting part -time in 2006 for cats that were adopted from the Berkeley Humane Society, where I was the manager of the cat program. In 2011, I decided to take the plunge and pursue cat sitting as a full-time career.
I consider myself a “kitty connoisseur” of sorts. I have two rescue cats of my own that I completely adore. The things I value most in a cat sitter for my own cats, I strive to provide for my clients’ companions. I am extremely reliable, responsible, and trustworthy. I understand that all cats have unique personalities, and I am very detail- oriented, so as to make your cat very happy when I am caring for them. Whether your cat is into playing, cuddling on a warm lap, being brushed, or just sleeping the whole time, I am there to cater to their every whim. I believe strongly in following the cat’s daily routine, so as to minimize stress, loneliness, and anxiety of their guardian being away.
While most petsitting businesses focus primarily on dogs, I feel it's essential to give cats the same focus. Cats and dogs are very different types of animals and respond differently to a "cat person" or a "dog person." While I do love dogs, cats are the distinguishing feature between my business and other petsitting businesses.
I primarily service the flatlands of Berkeley.
